About Us

About Rooftop Jazz Qaurtet

We are the Rooftop Jazz Quartet , a student-led ensemble that has been volunteering to perform across our community for many years.

Our group is made up of four musicians: Oscar Lewis (drums), Jacob Healy (saxaphone), Oscar Li (saxaphone), and Alex Abakah (bass). We seek to spread the message of jazz in an accessible format. We have performed at various community centers and restaurants, and are hoping to expand to more venues in the future.

Our repertoire consists of many jazz classics that have stood the test of time, and modern arrangements of upbeat, funky tunes. We also enjoy coming prepared with charts for our venue, or changing our set on the fly with requests from our audiences. We look forward to playing with you soon!
